Labor Day!
Thank you soooooooo much Marc & Shelly for the wonderful BBQ. David’s sister and her husband had our family, Billy & Bev (Brother & his wife), and bunch of friends over for a BBQ. Marc does an amazing job with the BBQ. He is a perfectionist and takes it seriously when he cooks. It was wonderful food and fun. The kids enjoyed playing kickball and football. Thanks again for putting it all together. We love you guys.
Beauty and The Beast
Went to see the play Beauty and The Beast at Payson High School tonight. It was a WONDERFUL performance. David had taken Richard and Ethan to the BYU Football game with a couple of our friends so I took Elizabeth and Dylan to see the play. We went with Shelly and Andrea. I was so impressed that my 4-year-old sat through it. He did very well. He’s favorite part was the beast saying “OUT OF MY CASTLE”. He is sure a fun one.
Mama Mia AGAIN!
We decided since it was the sing-a-long at the theaters for Mama Mia that we would go. It turned out to be a wonderful night. Shelly, Andrea, Aubs, and myself had a blast. Amanda came in when she finished up her shift. The girls got up at the end and were dancing around. It is fun to be able to sing-a-long with the song and not have people starring, although the 2 couples in front of us were a little annoyed that people were singing. We were laughing because after all YOU ARE SUPPOSE TO SING WITH THE MOVIE!! Had to do the 9:50 that night as well so another late night but well worth it!
Wedding
David’s niece, Nichole, got married yesterday. It was a hectic and busy day. She was married, luncheon following, with the reception later that evening. Needless to say the culture hall where we had the luncheon had carpet on the floor. What a mess and hard to clean up with the food that the kids dropped. Then, I went to see Mama Mia with my amazing visiting teacher (Amy), wonderful friend (Angie) , sister (Shelly), and Andrea (Shelly’s daughter). We sure had a blast even though it was the 9:50 p.m. showing due to the wedding.
Lagoon
We got to go to Lagoon again this year with David’s work. They pay for the family to get in and provide us with an all-you-can eat lunch. The kids had a wonderful time this year. Ethan is almost tall enough for everything. He was disappointed when he wasn’t quite tall enough for a couple of the rides – he is already looking towards next year. This year we were joined by: Ron (David’s friend from France), Eric (David’s friend from Richfield, Kevin (David’s nephew) with his wife and 2 girls, and Shelly (David’s sister) with her 2 girls and a couple of their friends. We all had a lot of fun. We stayed until 5:30 and Liz and Rich stayed with Shelly and Kevin until 9:00. It was a loooooooooonnnnnnnnnnng day, but we all had a blast. It was a nice day out – even though it was hot.

Happy 4th Birthday!
Dylan is the baby of the family and turned 4. He has the sweetest personality. He is always loving and wanting to be loved. He is so excited to go to pre-school again this year. He sure loves to go and ride the bus and be with his friends. He wasn’t to thrilled about all the immunizations needed to return to pre-school, but he won’t have to have any immunizations to enter Kindergarten next year! We are sure thankful to have his little spirit in our family.

4-Wheeling and Cool Summer Night :-)
Got the joy of taking the kids up to Heber Valley to hang out with part of the BYU Sports Medicine Team. We had a fun night out with kids. We had a wonderful night with dinner and four-wheeling. My wonderful boss, Kevin, took the kids out in the fields where I didn’t dare venture on the four-wheelers. Richard and Liz got to ride the little four-wheelers and were thrilled at the new adventure. Needless to say they want to get a couple now. They aren’t in the near future.

Welcome Bryan

Bryan Samuel Powell joined us in this earthly trial on July 25, 2008. He was 6 pounds 3 ounces and 19 inches long. Mom and baby are both doing well. He is sure a cute little man. He will be spoiled rotten by his 4 older sisters I am sure. Congratulations Steve & Jen.

Ladies Night Out!
Tonight I went to a movie and dinner with some wonderful sisters. David was kind enough to watch our four plus 3 additional girls so we could go out and enjoy ourselves. Jen (David’s sister-in-law) is here from Wyoming getting ready to have their 6th child and first little boy, Bev (David’s sister-in-law), Shelly (David’s sister), and Myrna (David’s sister), and myself went to see GET SMART. It was fun to go laugh and relax and not have to worry about the little ones running in and out of the theater. We all enjoyed the movie.
Then we hit Red Robin and enjoyed dinner. It was fun to sit and talk and reminisce. We were all full but Bev decided that we all needed to share dessert so she bought 2 HUGE desserts for the 5 of us to share. We all ate to much and went home feeling sick. It sure was fun though. We are all looking forward to the next time.
