4-Wheeling and Cool Summer Night :-)
Got the joy of taking the kids up to Heber Valley to hang out with part of the BYU Sports Medicine Team. We had a fun night out with kids. We had a wonderful night with dinner and four-wheeling. My wonderful boss, Kevin, took the kids out in the fields where I didn’t dare venture on the four-wheelers. Richard and Liz got to ride the little four-wheelers and were thrilled at the new adventure. Needless to say they want to get a couple now. They aren’t in the near future.

Welcome Bryan

Bryan Samuel Powell joined us in this earthly trial on July 25, 2008. He was 6 pounds 3 ounces and 19 inches long. Mom and baby are both doing well. He is sure a cute little man. He will be spoiled rotten by his 4 older sisters I am sure. Congratulations Steve & Jen.

Ladies Night Out!
Tonight I went to a movie and dinner with some wonderful sisters. David was kind enough to watch our four plus 3 additional girls so we could go out and enjoy ourselves. Jen (David’s sister-in-law) is here from Wyoming getting ready to have their 6th child and first little boy, Bev (David’s sister-in-law), Shelly (David’s sister), and Myrna (David’s sister), and myself went to see GET SMART. It was fun to go laugh and relax and not have to worry about the little ones running in and out of the theater. We all enjoyed the movie.
Then we hit Red Robin and enjoyed dinner. It was fun to sit and talk and reminisce. We were all full but Bev decided that we all needed to share dessert so she bought 2 HUGE desserts for the 5 of us to share. We all ate to much and went home feeling sick. It sure was fun though. We are all looking forward to the next time.
More frustrations
Well, last week while I was work the kids were out back playing and one of the neighbor boys (age 9) decided to take Dyl on his electric motorcycle and wrecked. He got a few scratches on his face. I decided to hold off on the doctor because he was eating normal, acting normal, playing normal, and being a typical 3 year old with lots of energy. Saturday morning he woke up with his eye swollen and thought he must have been bite by something because it had been awhile since the accident. Well, this morning when he got up he couldn’t see out of his eye. So I bypassed Church in favor of the doctor appointment that was available at that time. The doctor looked at it and said there was infection in his eye and that it wasn’t a bite like we thought. She told us to keep a close eye on him and if the swelling got worse or he started complaining of pain, that we would have to do a CT of the head to make sure the infection hadn’t settled behind his eye as well. She put him on a strong antibiotic and hopefully from here it will get better. He has sure been a little trooper.
Relaxing?
David’s sister, Shelly, wanted to go see a movie on Saturday. We decided that Ethan and Dylan wouldn’t do very well after just seeing Wall-E on Friday so my wonderful parents took the 2 youngest boys and watched them while we went to a movie with David’s sister. Liz decided at the last minute she didn’t want to go, so she stayed and played with her friend Sos at her house. So Richard got to go with us to see Hancock. Shelly brought her daughter, Andrea, and 1 of our nieces, Bianca. It was a cute show. We all laughed so hard. It was a nice little break.
Then we went to a neighborhood BBQ. It was fun to sit and visit with friends and neighbors. Then we went back to Angie and Paul’s at dark to do fireworks yet again.
Happy 4th of July!
We decided to take the kids to see Wall-E today. What a cute little show. We were all very impressed with Ethan. He sat through the whole movie. I was so impressed that he could hold still for that long of a time. My parents and Uncle Billy joined us. After we went to eat at Village Inn. Unfortunately Uncle Billy had to go to work so he missed out on eating. Then the kids went down to the neighbors and did fireworks with them. We have the best neighbors, thanks Angie & Paul we guys at wonderful.
