Is It Superman?

When Billy was over one night, we were getting ready to have a BBQ with a couple of David’s siblings and Dylan was jumping off the roof of the shed like Superman to Uncle Billy. He is sure a trusting little man. We had to let him know that you don’t do that when Uncle Billy isn’t standing there. Liz wanted to try and the first time she started to freak before Billy even got her on the roof. She decided to try after Dylan did it a couple more times.

Roof

Well, after living in our house for almost 11 years and the builder putting 10 year shingles on the house, we decided since we were finding more shingles on the lawn after wind storms that it was time to re-shingle the house. I didn’t realize what a job it was going to be. On Saturday, David’s brother, Billy, and his nephew, Kevin, and nephew, Alex, came over to help David, our sons, Richard & Ethan, help start the re-shingling process. Then our wonderful neighbor, Paul, came down and helped out a bit after he got off of work. Tonight Paul came down and helped David and our 2 sons get it almost completed. Thank goodness. We decided to do 30 year shingles this time so we won’t have to redo it, since we probably won’t live it the house that long!!!! Thanks everyone for all the help it sure made it go a lot quicker.

Easter Sunday

It has been a long time since I have found a couple minutes to sit down and blog. I will try to update tonight and then add pictures in the near future. For Easter the kids each got an Easter Sunday Church Outfit and then a small easter basket with a little candy. Luckily, the kids don’t eat lots of candy. Then we went up to see David’s mom, which was a hard day with just burying Dad the day before. She seemed to enjoy seeing the kiddos. Then we ran to my parents for a couple of minutes. Then we went to David’s sister’s house, Shelly, who is 15 months older than him for a BBQ. Shelly’s husband, Marc, tries to make us think that he is hard and doesn’t like you around, but he really enjoys it. You can tell he must not be as mean as he tries to make himself look, he took the kids on the four-wheeler. Every time Dylan sees him “Marc 4-wheeeler please.” We sure enjoy being with their family. They are the best. Then there was a beautiful sunset that you could see out their back window.
