Los Hermanos!

Went to dinner with Nana and Papa Proctor, Uncle Dallas, Aunt Sarah, Alexis, Brett, and Brooke, and niece Kasha Holmgren along with our 6 tonight.  It was a blast.  David and I shared the excellent fajitas. Ethan slept from the time we got there till I woke him up for school this morning, for those of you know who Ethan is this NOT normal.  He wasn’t feeling tops today still but decided to try to go to school.  He is waiting for a book that he ordered from the book order and didn’t want to miss getting it if it came today.  Also, got the opportunity to see my best friend from my childhood, Tracey Clark, there with her family.  Nice to be able to run into them again.

Uncle Don

On Wednesday, February 20th my Uncle Donald passed away. He had suffered for years with Diabetes and then a few years back he suffered a stroke. We didn’t think he would pull through the stroke – but he did. He passed away 2 days before his 71st birthday. My parents were on vacation so they returned early to be at my dad’s brother’s funeral on Saturday. We will sure miss his personality and his famous “flip you off” to say Hello! We love you Uncle Donald!

President’s Day

Today David’s dad got released from the hospital after a 25 day stay. He is diabetic and was in there for a foot ulcer. He ended up having to have his little toe amputated and about half his foot was eaten away with infection. Needless to say, we spent David’s day off building a wheelchair ramp to get his father into the house. A couple of his brothers, a sister, a family friend, and Dad’s brother came and helped. It took them 7 hours – not bad for never doing one before. I ended up taking a brother and the family friend to help get David’s dad from the hospital. We are glad he is home and hoping he continues the healing process.
