Temple Square
We went up on a Sunday Evening and saw the beautiful lights at Temple Square with part of David’s Family. It was wonderful but VERY chilly and the kids were anxious to leave and get into the cars to warm up. We had quite a crowd out of the 15 kids in David’s Family we had a pretty good turn out. Mom came, Shelly and her daughter with her friend, Us with our 4 children, Kevin (David’s nephew) with his wonderful wife Jacyln and their 2 children, Billy and his wife Beverly, Diana and her children, Michael (Diana’s son) with his wife Kim and their little boy Sean, Beckie with her 3 children (1 still in tummy), Robert with his wife Ann Marie and their 2 children. If you haven’t been up there, it is sure a wonderful experience.
Christmas Eve SNOW!
Just got pictures developed. Had some more Christmas Eve Pictures that were cute. We didn’t think we would have snow for Christmas but we did!!! Dad & Dylan were looking out the window watching the snow fall. Nana was at the stove finishing up the “WHITE SOUP” as Kasha calls it, or as everyone else knows it the white gravy! Brooke was licking the beaters after mixing up the frosting for the gingerbread houses. Dallas & Sarah were kind enough to mix up the frosting for everyone! Papa was just being adorable like usual! We feel so grateful to know Ricky and are grateful that he likes to come hang out with us! Thanks Ricky!
The kids had a “CHIN”tastic Christmas after all!
We received a phone call from Uncle Steve and Aunt Jenny in Rock Springs, Wyoming asking us if we could meet them in Evanston, Wyoming cause Santa had left a present at their house for the kids (on accident of course). So we drove up to Evanston and they had with them a Japanese Chin dog. The kids were going to name SNORTS because he doesn’t bark he snorts. Since the dog snorts like a pig the kids have decided to call him BUTA which is Japanese for pig! He is a very loving, happy, easy-going dog.
Christmas Day 2007
Christmas morning we get up and dad makes omelettes and hashbrowns. Nana & Papa Proctor come over to watch the kids open up their presents. Dylan (3) got 2 Tonka trucks along with much needed clothes. Ethan (5) got 2 Tonka trucks along with much needed clothes. Liz (8) got a doll along with much needed clothes. Rich (11) got an autographed BYU football along with much needed clothes. The only thing they didn’t receive was a puppy, which they all really wanted.
Christmas Eve 2007
Every Christmas Eve we go to Nana & Papa Proctor’s house. We decorate gingerbread houses, eat a HUGE meal, read the Christmas story, and then the grandkids all open a present (Christmas PJ’s). This year our niece, Kasha, and her boyfriend, Ricky, joined us for the fun. They were SOOOO excited to decorate their FIRST gingerbread house.
Liz Confirmation
Liz was confirmed on Sunday, December 2, 2007. Kasha missed Liz’s baptism on Saturday so she came to the confirmation on Sunday. We were glad that she came even though she isn’t a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. It meant a lot to all of us to have her there with us. David’s nieces from Wyoming (Tiffany & Briana) were excited to meet her and make a new friend.
Elizabeth Powells baptism
Elizabeth was baptized on December 1, 2007 by her dad as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She was scared to be baptized, but she was excited and happy afterwards. She was cute after the baptism she mentioned to her Aunt Jenny that she was clean like the snow that was falling outside that morning. She is a very smart and loving little lady. We are “ALL” so proud of her and love her dearly.
